Each generation (and I'm not talking about the whole of society here) seems to be getting more violent and more greedy probably because they are bombarded with images on TV/Films/Advertising/computer games... you name it. They want everything now and beg, borrow or steal if they can't have it immediately. Teachers are scared to do anything in case they lose their jobs. But I think you're right the answer has got to be education.Wendynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2545573732210202248.post-48489231104391333692011-08-19T02:44:54.416-07:002011-08-19T02:44:54.416-07:00I'm a Londoner and having read your comments o...I'm a Londoner and having read your comments on the recent riots - the situation also makes me very sad. I think it was all just an excuse for wanton vandalism too. Children aged under 12 aren't political. I do believe the Government are partly (in a minor way) to blame and must do something to change either this type of mentality in schools, or change their environments. The parents have a great deal to do with their childrens behaviour - how do we teach them?BeadBaghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04042816003575647162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2545573732210202248.post-51110095862698612582011-08-19T00:34:12.343-07:002011-08-19T00:34:12.343-07:00Thanks, Tom. The lavender was cropped, sharpened and colours upped in photoshop. I've made a makeshift lightbox with a cardboard box and some tracing paper. The lobelia and rosemary were shot in that! Lightroom? Who needs it!!? ;-)

I agree with you re the ratio of good to bad people in our society and I should have given credit to the hundreds of people who cleaned up our cities with their brooms.Wendynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2545573732210202248.post-73016938708341844722011-08-18T14:16:58.739-07:002011-08-18T14:16:58.739-07:00The world has gone insane, but I hold on to the th...The world has gone insane, but I hold on to the thought that there are still more good people than bad.

Your photography is going from strength to strength. I love the contrast between the vivid, showy French lavender and the stark, understated greeness of the rosemary.

And I really like your new funky red chilli header!Tomhttp://www.tomgradwellphotography.co.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2545573732210202248.post-42898556727853216372011-08-18T00:22:09.707-07:002011-08-18T00:22:09.707-07:00Thanks for reading, Nancy xThanks for reading, Nancy xWendynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2545573732210202248.post-88564966277183953672011-08-17T07:16:45.151-07:002011-08-17T07:16:45.151-07:00How do you do it? xHow do you do it? xNancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08454249442727703479noreply@blogger.com
